Draft a 350-500 word Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statement for [CLIENT_NAME] applying for a Subclass 600 visa in the [STREAM] stream. The GTE statement is the load-bearing document in any visitor refusal review -- it tells the decision-maker, in the applicant's own voice, what they intend to do in Australia and why they will leave. CRITICAL TONE AND FRAMING RULES (a) Voice: first person, simple sentences, no immigration jargon (avoid "GTE", "subclass", "PIC") (b) Specificity: every date, name, address, dollar figure must be concrete (c) Length: 350-500 words -- shorter feels thin, longer is skim-flagged (d) Avoid these phrases: "I love Australia", "I have always dreamed of visiting", "for a better life", "to explore", "to experience Australian culture", "for tourism" (alone, without itinerary) (e) Avoid emotive flourish: officers discount it as scripted (f) Avoid any phrasing that hints at onshore intent (NO "to be with my family", "to settle near my daughter", "to look for opportunities") (g) ASCII text only -- no emoji, no special unicode STREAM-SPECIFIC TEMPLATE If [STREAM] is "Tourist": Open with the trip dates and main itinerary -- which cities, which weeks. Use [STATED_ACTIVITIES] verbatim. Acknowledge that under Schedule 8 conditions 8101 (no work) and 8201 (no study > 3 months) the applicant will not work or undertake study. Mention condition 8531 (must depart by expiry) acknowledgement. If [STREAM] is "Sponsored Family": Frame around the host relationship in None. State the specific family event or care need. Acknowledge the sponsor's obligations and the security bond requirement. If [STREAM] is "Business Visitor": Frame around the specific meetings, conferences, or vendor visits. List host companies, dates, contact persons. Confirm no employment relationship will form in Australia -- the applicant remains employed and paid by their Indian employer for the duration. If [STREAM] is "Medical Treatment": Frame around the specific procedure, the receiving Australian hospital / specialist, the quoted cost in AUD, the proof of funds covering it, and the recovery timeline. The applicant is NOT seeking subsidised care. If [STREAM] is "Approved Destination Status": Out of scope for Indian-passport clients. Note this is the China-only group tourism stream; flag misapplication if the client mis-selected this stream. STRUCTURE OF THE 350-500 WORD GTE STATEMENT Paragraph 1 -- Who I am (60-90 words) Name, age, occupation, city, family composition. Indicate work / business that will continue in India during the visit. Concrete employment / business / pension details. Paragraph 2 -- Why I am applying (90-130 words) The trigger for THIS visit at THIS time. Use [WHY_THIS_DURATION] verbatim where possible. Be specific about the underlying event (birth, wedding, surgery, conference, harvest, religious ceremony, milestone). Paragraph 3 -- What I will do in Australia (90-130 words) Use [STATED_ACTIVITIES]. Week-by-week or city-by-city. Include accommodation arrangements: staying with None OR booked hotel / Airbnb (provide booking references). State who funds each component. Paragraph 4 -- Why I will return to India (90-130 words) Use [RETURN_TRIGGER]. Concrete obligations: children's exams, business cycles, religious / family commitments, ongoing medical treatment in India, property / business that requires my presence. Avoid emotive language; stick to dated obligations. Paragraph 5 -- Compliance commitments (40-60 words) Acknowledge in plain language: - I will not work in Australia (condition 8101) - I will not study for more than 3 months (condition 8201) - I will leave by the date my visa expires (condition 8531) - I understand condition 8558 limits stay to 12 months in any 18-month period if I apply for a long-stay tourist visa - I have adequate funds and travel insurance for the duration LONG-STAY (6-12 MONTHS) JUSTIFICATION ADD-ON If [INTENDED_DURATION] is more than 3 months, append a separate 100-150 word paragraph explicitly addressing: (a) Why the full duration is needed (specific dated milestones) (b) Why the applicant cannot achieve the purpose in a shorter visit (concrete logistical / medical / family reason) (c) Acknowledgement of condition 8558 (12 months in any 18-month period) (d) Acknowledgement that the visa cannot be extended onshore -- a new substantive visa would have to be lodged before expiry, and that the applicant has no intention to lodge any further onshore visa CLOSING SENTENCE End the GTE statement with: "I confirm that the above information is true and correct. I am applying for a temporary visit only and I will leave Australia before my visa expires. [Signed], [CLIENT_NAME], [date]." STATEMENT VS COVER LETTER -- KEEP THESE SEPARATE The GTE statement is a standalone applicant-voice document attached as Tab G in the file. The cover letter (au-visitor-600-application-package S2) is in the agent's voice. Do not merge them. End with: "DRAFT GTE statement -- for MARA-registered migration agent review and client validation. The client must sign the final version; ghost-written language must match the client's own English level and idiom. Cross-check every concrete fact (dates, names, dollar figures) against supporting documents before lodgement."
