LinkedIn Sponsored InMail / Conversation Ad — outbound to skilled-migration prospects
A LinkedIn Conversation Ad (Sponsored Messaging) script for skilled-migration outreach — subject, greeting, body, 2 CTA buttons, follow-up node. CICC + LinkedIn-policy safe.
LinkedInSponsored InMailConversation AdOutreachMarketing
Write a LinkedIn Sponsored Messaging "Conversation Ad" script for outbound to [TARGET_AUDIENCE].
Format constraints:
- Sender must be a real LinkedIn member (named [SENDER_FIRST_NAME]).
- Subject line: max 60 chars.
- Message body: max 8,000 chars (LinkedIn cap), but high-performing ones are 100-200 words.
- Up to 5 CTA buttons; we use 2.
- Each CTA button max 25 chars.
- Followup node: a message shown AFTER the recipient clicks a button.
Output:
## SUBJECT LINE (max 60 chars)
Personal, not promotional. Example: "[SENDER_FIRST_NAME] re: ACS skills assessment — quick note"
Must NOT contain "free", "offer", "limited time" (LinkedIn flags these as spam-pattern).
## GREETING (1 line)
"Hi {FIRST_NAME}," — LinkedIn auto-fills the recipient's first name with the {FIRST_NAME} token. Use it verbatim.
## BODY (130-180 words, conversational, NOT marketing)
- Sentence 1 (40-60 chars): a specific observation tied to [TARGET_AUDIENCE]. e.g. "Noticed you've been at {COMPANY} for {YEARS_AT_COMPANY} years building backend systems."
- Sentence 2 (60-90 chars): why you're reaching out. Be honest — this is a paid InMail.
- Sentence 3 (80-100 chars): the offer [OFFER_DETAIL] explained in one line.
- Sentence 4 (40-70 chars): the trust line — name [MARA_NUMBER] / RCIC# explicitly.
- Sentence 5 (40-60 chars): the no-pressure close — "If skilled migration isn't on your radar right now, no worries — feel free to ignore."
LinkedIn auto-fills these tokens if available: {FIRST_NAME}, {LAST_NAME}, {COMPANY}, {JOB_TITLE}, {INDUSTRY}, {YEARS_AT_COMPANY}. Use them sparingly — 2 max — otherwise the message reads like a mail-merge.
## CTAs (2 buttons, max 25 chars each)
CTA 1 (Primary): "[CTA_BUTTON_1]"
- Destination: booking link
- Follow-up node when clicked: "Great — here's the booking page. You'll pick a 30-min slot in your timezone. We will not call without you booking. — [SENDER_FIRST_NAME]"
CTA 2 (Secondary): "[CTA_BUTTON_2]"
- Destination: [GUIDE_LINK]
- Follow-up node when clicked: "Here's the guide — [GUIDE_LINK]. Reply if you'd rather have a quick call. — [SENDER_FIRST_NAME]"
## SIGN-OFF
"[SENDER_FIRST_NAME] · [MARA_NUMBER] · [FIRM_NAME]"
Single line under the body.
## LINKEDIN POLICY + MARA NOTES
- LinkedIn Sponsored Messaging Policies §2: Sponsored Messages are auto-paused for recipients in certain regions (EU). Audience must exclude EU geos unless your campaign is GDPR-compliant on the LP.
- LinkedIn does NOT allow Sponsored Messaging targeting based on protected characteristics. Use job-function + seniority + geo + skills.
- LinkedIn message-quality policies: no all-caps subject lines, no excessive emoji, no fake-urgency ("LAST CHANCE"). Spam-pattern subject lines reduce deliverability.
- MARA Code of Conduct cl. 2.20-2.23 (or CICC §44-46): no false / misleading claims. Specifically:
- "Guaranteed visa" = BANNED.
- "I'd like to walk you through the skills-assessment process" = OK.
- "[MARA_NUMBER]" must appear in the signature.
- The follow-up node after a CTA click must NOT immediately trigger a sales call without an explicit booking — LinkedIn user-experience guidelines + good-faith outreach norms.
## A/B TEST VARIANTS
- Variant A: Open with the company observation (default above).
- Variant B: Open with the offer hook ("[OFFER_DETAIL] — for [TARGET_AUDIENCE], no upsell.").
- Variant C: Open with a single market-shift statement ("Australia's skilled-migration program in 2026 has shifted toward... here's a 2-min read.").
## VOICE
- First-person, named sender.
- Conversational, not corporate.
- Indian-English fine.
- Banned: "I hope this finds you well", "I wanted to reach out", "leverage", "synergy", "delighted", "thrilled".
- No emojis in subject; max 1 emoji in body.
End with: "— DRAFT — for [MARA_NUMBER] agent review. Confirm sender [SENDER_FIRST_NAME] is a real LinkedIn member at the firm. Confirm subject line is non-spammy. Confirm CTA destinations resolve. Confirm GDPR exclusion if any EU geos are in audience."Unlock the vault to see the full prompt
