Draft the structure for [CLIENT_NAME]'s [DOCUMENT_PURPOSE] for use in [JURISDICTION]. The document must comply with UAE notarial requirements (Federal Law No. 6 of 1973 + amendments; Federal Law No. 22 of 1991 on the Notary Public profession).
CRITICAL FRAMING — BILINGUAL ARABIC-ENGLISH FORMAT
UAE notarial practice requires bilingual Arabic + English documents for most public-facing affidavits, declarations, and Powers of Attorney. The Arabic version is legally binding; the English version is for convenience. Notarisation by a UAE Notary Public is the standard pathway for documents intended for use in UAE. Documents intended for use in India must additionally be attested through the Indian Embassy in UAE (HCI Abu Dhabi or CGI Dubai).
§1 — DOCUMENT TYPE DETERMINATION
For [DOCUMENT_PURPOSE]:
If purpose is "Power of Attorney":
• Determine TYPE: General POA (broad authority) vs Specific POA (single transaction / specific scope)
• UAE preference: SPECIFIC POA (clearer scope, less abuse risk)
• For property transactions: SPECIFIC POA mandatory in most emirates
• For court matters: SPECIFIC POA with explicit court-appearance authorisation
If purpose is "Affidavit" (sworn statement of facts):
• Single fact or short statement of facts (single status, family relationship, residence, etc.)
• Affidavit signed under oath before Notary Public
• Notary verifies identity but does NOT verify factual accuracy (signatory's responsibility)
If purpose is "Declaration":
• Similar to affidavit but typically not under oath
• Used for routine matters (consent to travel, parental consent, etc.)
§2 — STRUCTURE OF UAE-NOTARISED POWER OF ATTORNEY
Standard bilingual Arabic-English structure:

Section 5 — Validity period:
"This Power of Attorney shall be valid for a period of 1 year from the date of notarisation, OR until the specific transaction described above is completed, whichever is earlier."

If "Power of Attorney to sponsor parents for visit visa":
• Specific POA in favour of UAE-resident child
• Scope: file visit visa, submit financial proofs, manage entry permit collection
• Validity: typically 1 year (visit visa cycle)

If "Family relationship affidavit (uncle as sponsor)":
• Affidavit signed by sponsor (UAE-resident uncle) attesting to family relationship + financial responsibility
• Used at Family Sponsorship visa filing
• Must include parents' / siblings' chain showing relationship
• Notarise in UAE; some emirates require additional documentary proof
If "Single status declaration for UAE marriage registration":
• Affidavit by Indian citizen declaring not currently married
• Issued in India by Indian MEA-attested notary OR by Indian Embassy in UAE for UAE-resident applicants
• Required by UAE marriage registration authority (court for non-Muslim marriages; sharia court for Muslim)

If "Property management POA":
• Specific POA in favour of UAE-resident family member or licensed property management company
• Scope: rent collection, tenancy contract management, payment of service charges

• DLD / municipality requires POA registration with their property registry

• Validity: typically 6 months
• RTA processes vehicle transfer with POA copy + originals
If "Court appearance authorisation":

• Scope: appear in specific court matter, file documents, settle on principal's behalf with limits
• Validity: typically until matter concluded
• UAE Bar Association requires advocate-specific POA registration
§7 — VALIDITY + REVOCATION RULES
Standard POA validity (UAE):
• Specific POA: 1-3 years typical; can be longer if scope is specific
• General POA: discouraged; if used, 1-year renewable
• Permanent / indefinite POA: legally permitted but practically requires extra clauses + Notary scrutiny
Revocation:
• By principal at any time via written notice to agent
• Registered at issuing Notary Public office (revocation fee AED 50-100)
• Notification to relevant authorities (DLD, RTA, banks) if applicable
• Death of principal automatically revokes (Federal Law)
• Insanity / loss of legal capacity of principal automatically revokes
§8 — INDIAN-CONTEXT SPECIFICS
For Indian principals issuing POA for use in India:
• UAE-notarised POA → Indian Embassy attestation (UAE side) → MEA attestation (India side, if needed) → registration at sub-registrar's office (India side, if for property matters)
• Indian Stamp Act: POA must be on stamp paper of correct value per state (varies — Maharashtra typical AED 200-equivalent; Punjab varies)
• Some Indian states require POA to be registered at sub-registrar within 3-4 months of issuance — note urgency to client
For Indian principals issuing POA for UAE use only:
• Single-step UAE Notary attestation suffices
• No Indian-side attestation needed
§9 — REJECTION PATTERNS
□ POA drafted in English only (no Arabic version) → typically rejected at UAE Notary; commission MoJ translator
□ Notary stamp expired (typing centres sometimes use expired notary stamps inadvertently) → re-notarise
□ Signatory in different emirate than notary's jurisdiction → typically OK (UAE Notary is federal); but Dubai Courts Notary specifically Dubai-bound
□ POA scope too vague / broad (e.g., "manage all my affairs") → rejected for being too general; redraft with specific powers
□ Missing witness signatures (UAE requires 2 witnesses for some categories) → re-execute
□ Validity period not specified → defaults to 1 year; clarify intent
§10 — CONSULTANT WORKFLOW
Recommended workflow for [CLIENT_NAME]:
1. Confirm [DOCUMENT_PURPOSE] + [JURISDICTION] + 1 year
2. Draft bilingual document (Arabic + English) — engage MoJ-licensed translator if drafting started in English
3. Identify Notary Public office (MoJ / Dubai Courts) + book appointment
4. Brief [CLIENT_NAME] on what to bring (passport, Emirates ID, witnesses)
5. Notarisation + register in MoJ system
6. If [JURISDICTION] includes India: schedule Indian Embassy / Consulate attestation immediately after
7. Deliver final attested document set to client + retain certified copy in file
End with: "DRAFT — for UAE-licensed PRO (Public Relations Officer) or law firm review. Verify against current GDRFA/ICP guidance and per-emirate variations before submission."Unlock the vault to see the full prompt
