Advise [CLIENT_NAME] (age [AGE], pursuing [VISA_CATEGORY] in [EMIRATE_OF_RESIDENCE]) on the UAE medical fitness + Emirates ID biometric capture pipeline.
CRITICAL FRAMING
The medical fitness test is mandatory for almost ALL UAE residence visas. It is conducted at government-approved centres only — private clinics' health certificates are NOT accepted for UAE visa purposes. The medical certificate has a 3-month validity. Emirates ID biometric capture happens immediately after medical clearance — the two steps are operationally linked at ICP customer-happiness centres and GDRFA-affiliated Dubai centres.
§1 — APPROVED MEDICAL CENTRES BY EMIRATE
If [EMIRATE_OF_RESIDENCE] is Dubai:
• Authority: Dubai Health Authority (DHA)

— Al Qasimi Medical Centre (Sharjah)
— Various MOHAP Primary Healthcare Centres
— Some private accredited centres
• Online booking: MOHAP app or Asefny portal
Some emirates also operate EHS-approved (Emirates Health Services) centres — typically smaller, faster, accepting cross-emirate referrals.

For ALL adult applicants (>18 years):
• Blood test — HIV (mandatory; positive result → visa denial + deportation)
• Blood test — Syphilis (VDRL) (mandatory for some categories)
• Chest X-ray — TB / Tuberculosis (mandatory)
— Active TB → visa denial
— Latent TB → may be tolerated with treatment plan + medical clearance; depends on emirate
For minors (under 18):
• Typically NO TB chest X-ray (radiation exposure concern)
• HIV test still required for some categories (Family Sponsorship of children: typically not; Student visa for older minors: case-by-case)

• Rubella titre (women of childbearing age)
• Measles / Mumps immunity confirmation

• Hepatitis B + C
• Stool culture
• Repeat testing more frequent (annual)
If General office is "Beauty / spa worker":
• Hepatitis B + C
• Skin examination
• Sometimes manicure / pedicure / waxing technique evaluation

Step 2 — Biometric capture appointment:
• At ICP customer-happiness centre (Abu Dhabi + Northern Emirates)

If medical reveals HIV positive:
• Visa denial automatic
• Notification to client + sponsor
• Deportation order if client is already in UAE (Article 10 of Federal Decree-Law 29/2021)
• Limited appeals through Ministry of Health
If medical reveals active TB:
• Visa denial automatic
• Treatment in country of origin required first
• Re-application possible after treatment completion + 6-month clearance
If medical reveals latent TB or other treatable condition:
• Conditional clearance with treatment plan
• Sponsor employer / family member must commit to treatment monitoring
• Some emirates more lenient than others; varies by case
If pregnancy detected during medical:
• Conditional clearance issued (HIV / syphilis tests only; chest X-ray deferred)
• Full clearance after post-delivery X-ray
• Visa stamping can typically proceed with conditional clearance + note
§10 — INDIAN-CONTEXT SPECIFICS
For Indian applicants common scenarios:
• Indians from rural Kerala / Punjab with prior TB exposure: chest X-ray may show old healed lesions — clarify with radiologist; carry prior medical history

• Indian women planning maternity in UAE: schedule medical pre-pregnancy if possible
• Indian-issued vaccination records (Aadhaar-linked COVID vaccination, childhood vaccination cards): bring originals; useful for some categories
• Mumbai / Delhi / Bangalore applicants typically have higher BMI / lifestyle disease prevalence — some employers' insurance providers run additional checks (not visa-required, but employer-mandated)
